Something New A Week #65 - First Stage Performance

It's always great to serve Him!

Something New A Week #63 - Groupon Annual Dinner

Happy 2 years, Groupon Malaysia.

Something New A Week #61 - Urbano eFresco

Redeemed my Groupon at this restaurant at Publika with my family.

Not the best I've tasted but decent enough.

Something New A Week #60 - Cafe Vienna

Rarely roam KLCC.

Cafe Vienna's Apple Strudel.

Too sweet.

Something New A Week #59 - I'm Tipsy!

To be honest, I've only been tipsy less than 5 times in my entire life! That's because I don't drink much, I'm not an alcohol lover - unless it's wine. In fact, I'm a coffee lover, or to be more specific I should say - I'm an indie cafe lover (because I don't order coffee when I'm there everytime).

Got this deal from Groupon and tried it with my girls. It was really a good buy. Nice cosy place to have slow talks, and maybe some loud laughs; I ordered Mocha and the chocolate was quite fine, and I loved the Toffee cake! However people used to suggest to try their hand drip coffee, which I didn't. Not quite a fan of hand drip coffee.

What caught my eyes were the interior decoration which are rather amusing. Book hanging off above your heads and coffee rug sacks hanging on the wall like nobody's business.

The set we had!

What's new to me:
Didn't know books can be used for such decoration purposes, hanging off the ceiling. I started counting how many books I've read... I read 10. Not bad!

Something New A Week #58 - Worship Night With Sidney Mohede@WG12

I'm a huge supporter of Big Bang! Just because I love their originality of songs, and their character! Yet, on the same night - Sidney Mohede will be leading worship at WG12 at church. What did I do? I sold off my Big Bang ticket, because nothing beats worshiping God together with so many other brothers and sisters at a worship conference!

So I went to church - and Sidney Mohede was indeed such a blessing to all of us, his message to us was very clear: "We worship only one God, and you are here not because of me, but because of Him!"

What's new to me:
Er..we danced to Gangnam style at church?!

Something New A Week #57 - Rue's a Tour Guide!

Not the first time being tour guide. In fact, this is my 5th Korean group visiting Malaysia and we brought them around some local must sees in Kuala Lumpur. But it's still something new to me - because the people...IS NEW! To add on, it's the first time I stood in front of Sg Gombak and marvel at it for more than 1 minute - being all historical and patriotic.

What's new to me:
This
Yea I really didn't been there before. :/

Tuesday 23 October 2012

Something New A Week #56 - First Bubba Gump Experience!

Yes I'm a failure for not trying Bubba Gump until it's up on Groupon! But anyway, there's a first to everything, never too late still! It was an awesome deal and I LOVE SHRIMPS! No food picture but a picture of just me and..parts of the interior! :P

What's new to me:
The whole stack of ONION RINGS!

Something New A Week #55 - The Joy Of Singing!

I've quite some friends who sing for a career: Thomas from Malaysian Chinese group TJ 东于哲, MY FM DJ Wayne who sings occasionally too, 8TV Host Wind Lee who of course sings occasionally too, Amy Yeoh and Juwita Suwito who are vocal coaches and also perform at awesome gigs. As long as you are in the entertainment field you would sing, somehow, I guessed. They made singing seems like a super easy thing on earth! How come I can't sing as great as them! Haha.

I have also one friend and her forte is jazz and classical music. She sings old classic songs which are rearranged with a jazzy feel. Her voice is really jazzy too. She teaches classical music in the day, and sings during other times :) She's known as the new Teresa Teng in Malaysia. She's Winnie Ho! Went to watch her live at The Venue@Pavillion, jazzing her way out with good ol' classic Chinese songs. :)

What's new to me:
Every awesome singer is not born with just a voice, or a talent - but it's the hardwork put to hone their techniques, it's the personal experience to communicate the emotions, it's the diligence to improve their musicality. It's so many things as Juwita has taught me. It's really....super duper hard. I think I'll stick with Karaoke!

Something New A Week #54 - The Canvas Huddle!

I'm very grateful for the people I work with and the people I lead. They made me who I am. Because of their drive, their attitude, their spirit, their thoughts, their ideas, their enthusiasm - I learned a lot from them instead! Brought the team out for a quarterly sharing session on each departments.

I'm not a fan of boring office meeting space. I've got to say Groupon has great meeting space indeed! Yet once it's used quite often you tend to get bored with it too, so for this special huddle I've decided to support a new venture - The Canvas! They are a creative space which provides you.... SPACE! To do whatever you want, party, meetings, meet up, team building etc etc!

For more info, feel free to view The Canvas here.

What's new to me:
The Canvas has this long huge wall for you to doodle to your heart's content!

Something New A Week #53 - Aspiring Actresses Learning From Colin!

After many weeks of learning the basics of acting - we're finally ended our Vessel's Acting class with Colin Kirton! It's such an honor to learn the art of performing on stage from him! Colin is known for his work as a director, trainer, musician, singer, host and voice actor etc. Lessons with him were very very fruitful, very very substantial - and he always went back to the basics of acting.

I'll always remember this phrase from him: "PLAY TO WIN".

Really thankful to God for bringing such a great trainer to lead us to serve him in the performing arts field. :)

Read up more about Colin Kirton here.

What's new to me:
Acting is so much more of what's going on in your brain and your heart, and not what's coming out from your face! Don't act - but BE the character!

Something New A Week #52 - Company Team Picnic!

Together with some driven team leads, we lead the operations team in the company! The first time different departments under the Operations umbrella came together to have a picnic at Titiwangsa! Although not everyone made it but it was a quick fun time together because of the picture-taking moments!

Unfortunately, in rained after an hour.

HAHAHA!

I will never call for a huge group picnic anymore unless I am 100% sure the weather will be bright and sunny and happy!

What's new to me:
Picnic-ing IN THE RAIN yo.

Something New A Week #51 - Hopped By Friend's New Biz - Kee's Creampuffs!

A high school friend of mine, Kenneth, partnered with Groupon as part of his marketing strategy to give an extra push to his new business - the creampuff business! Really happy for him and since I'm so in love with creampuffs, I ordered 100 creampuffs for a group outing (hoping that it'd better be really good!). Headed over to Kee's Creampuffs to collect and to catch up with this passionate entrepreneur or Puff Daddy (so he claims lol)

Apparently Kee's Creampuffs started off as an online business, I was quite blown away by the idea of selling creampuffs online! Not only just that, the mastermind behind the recipes of these creampuffs came from Kenneth's mother, and Kenneth would like to take this family business to the next level - such a lovely son! He quit his 9 - 5 job and dedicated all his time and effort into building Kee's Creampuffs.

The creampuffs were tasty! Love the fillings, would be even better if the size was a tad smaller so I can just pop the whole creampuff into my mouth :) Love creampuffs? Check out more here!

What's new to me:
Big tall guy making small little cute creampuffs - passion really is an amazing spirit.

Something New A Week #50 - Surprise Birthday Party @ ACME Bar & Coffee

Birthdays are happy occasions, what more when it's your besties' birthday! To make birthdays even happier, a surprise birthday treat usually works very well! :D The 4 of us decided to surprise one of our besties at ACME Coffee & Bar @ The Troika! Somehow 'Troika' sounds like a fish name, I suspect it's because of the Koi fish. Hmm..

Really awesome place to chill and chat, like a tai-tai (laughs). Love the deco, love the atmosphere, love the flow, love the songs, love the comfort! The perfect set for 5 girls to reunite and talk about everything and anything under the sky haha! Also a romantic place for romantic dates or a heartwarming family dinner.

Visit ACME Bar & Coffee @ The Troika here.

What's new to me:
The cake bar was really lovely. Girls fall for such things. Gargh.

Something New A Week #49 - Grateful for the Change Agent Award!

It's the quarterly award ceremony and I was awarded the Groupon Change Agent Award! :) Very grateful and honored for this award and most importantly, very thankful for everyone who contributed to each and every single change that we decided to commit to - I can never do it without all of you :)

What's new to me:
Having such a picture on screen as background =.=

Something New A Week #48 - Bro's Convo Photoshoot!

Time past so fast. This once cute chubby little boy has grown up and graduated! The boy who once cried over candies that I took away from, now scolds me over drumsticks that I took an extra bite from! I can't imagine that time really flew by so fast! I'm so proud of him, and always so inspired by him! And I love him so much. I'm grateful that God has blessed me with such a wonderful brother to walk through this life together through thick and thin :) Let's keep striving together!

What's new to me:
You need not work too hard to make people smile, just say happy words, do happy things, and smile and laugh along - they'll smile :)

Saturday 29 September 2012

Something New A Week #47 - Happy Lantern Day!

It's more known as Mid-Autumn festival but to me I call it Lantern Day! Well to be honest I'm not a fan of lanterns (I dislike Green Lantern too) and I don't think I've lit one at all last year. This year, uncle was so cute to prepare traditional old paper lanterns for us, in our twenties, to play with - all for the sake of reliving childhood memories haha!

So we decorated the garden just as above! Isn't it beautiful? It is. And the most beautiful part of it is we did it together as a family :) Nothing beats great extended family bonding times, feel so blessed!

What's new to me:
Lighting up so many paper lanterns. Seriously, when I was younger I prefer those animal shape lanterns so I rarely lit up paper lanterns, the most only 1 or 2. But tonight I lit up more than 5 lol.

Something New A Week #46 - Chill Out@Verve Suites Mont Kiara

Met new friends who stays at this pretty place at Mont Kiara! One of the nicest service suites I've ever visited. Sweet peas. The roof top was a good place to chill over good food and great talk. Able to grab KL skyline too. No need to burn my pockets to get such feel at Luna Bar or Skybar. :)

What's new to me:
Verve Suites itself!

Friday 21 September 2012

Something New A Week #45 - Alpha Workplace Course @ DUMC

The Alpha Course at church was indeed another reminder that the harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. Thankful to be reminded again that we are all instruments of God and work is worship. So give your best at work because you are not working for your boss, nor yourself - but for the Almighty God :) Be an instrument at the workplace, be the change you want to see. :)

What's new to me:
Meeting new friends throughout the course!

7 Key Reminders About Time

Have you watched the movie In Time by Justin Timberlake? Yes, he's the guy in the picture above. I like how he emphasized that "You can do so much in ONE day!" The movie's concept in reminding how time can make a difference in a person's life is amazing. Time is precious, it's irreversible and every time past without being well invested, might be a time well wasted.

I believe time management is actually not managing the time itself; but managing yourself. Because everything stems out from you. You decide your thoughts, your attitude, your behaviour - and all these will lead to what you want to achieve in the end. You decide to laze, or to be hardworking; and you decide to be driven; or to slack; and you decide to prioritise or to do whatever it comes. The trick is, your willpower comes from how strong your desire is - to do whatever it takes to reach what you want.

My company organized a Time Management workshop today and I really can resonate to what the speakers (Linnet Tan & Kenny Ong) said! It was quite a lot of knowledge but guessed I echoed best to some parts which act as important reminders to me.

7 KEY REMINDERS ABOUT TIME (and some of my thoughts)

1. Prioritization is key
The ability to prioritize will help you to yield desirable results instead just feeling busy yet not achieving, after a whole day of work. If you can't prioritize naturally (which is perfectly fine), 1 simple mindtool you can use is the Urgent/Important matrix. I personally have been using it for about 3 years and it really helped me and some people in my team is using it too! Another great management mindset is to know how to delegate, this is well illustrated by one of the great management concept: "Who's got the Monkey".

2. Make sure you are always achieving, not always busy
Many people tend to end up busy doing a lot of things but achieving nothing, because they did not prioritize the important tasks that leads to the end goal. So keep track on number 1, and you'll be on track on number 2.

3. Maximize your time
How much can you do with the time you have at this very moment? Are you investing in something - knowledge, people, finances, change etc? Are you making sure all gaps are filled up with works of valuable results?

4. Time investments compound
How we invest in our time determines our happiness in life and also financial success. For money to grow it has to be invested, same goes to time. If you invest your time to improve in certain skills, or to become more efficient - you will slowly find that that skill you invested would bring you more money; the efficiency you had will give you more time to make more money, to meet more people and spend time with people who matters. When you have more time, you can invest them back and benefit from the compounding interest to gain more time and money which are valuable factors to make sure you have time to spend with those who truly matters and do things that you really want!

5. Save time by effective communication
Sometimes communication breakdown burns out time to fix the mess. To be effective at work, communicate clear goals, identify resources together, set expectations and timelines together - when everyone's aligned, things move fast - and you get more effective and you have more time to invest in other things than just work.

6. Desire for success is important. Successful people  = Effective people
Everything boils down to a person's decision. The desire to be successful will drive you to find all ways to achieve it. Automatically you will want to accomplish things that matters effectively and efficiently. What is your burning desire that you will put down everything and focus on it and deliver it?

7. Objective of time management is to achieve things in life, not just at work
I cannot agree more to this statement. We are living to live to enjoy the abundance in this world and to make a difference in this world, not living just to work and get by day by day. Being efficient at work helps us to have more time to achieve more things outside of work. It's making sure we have time to spend with those who matters and to live a fulfilling life where we reach our dreams and we influence other people!

I guessed these are the 7 key reminders I had from the session. Honestly, everyone knows this deep in our hearts - we know it. But sometimes we just need people to knock us at our heads to remind us how important it is again if we aren't able to focus on it. Again, I believe the inner desire is the best driver to succeed in life. Like I said:

"Your willpower comes from how strong your desire is - to do whatever it takes to reach what you want."

May you be inspired!

Something New A Week #44 - Dance Training@Vessel

The posted date was the first day I started learning. But this is written after a month.
---

I loved dancing. I entered competitions and did performances. But that day was my very first dance class in Church. It's a programme to prepare us for future productions.

It opened up my eyes to the real dance world.
Previously I was focusing on techniques, and just going hip hop and free style. But it was such an honor to be able to be mentored by Michael aka MXV. He is a great dance teacher. He taught us the importance of the journey of dancing. He stressed how important it is to make your mind, your heart, your body and your soul to be all in one to perform a great dance, to perform not for fame, not for the glory, but for the Lord. We call it pray-formance instead of performance.

Understanding ourselves
We didn't go into awesome dance moves or copied choreos like how normal dance class used to do. Instead, we went through the basics of understanding our own bodies and feeling ourselves and being in the present. We went through the history of dance and tried out different moves as well to grasp a gist of how dance evolved - Chelston, Waltz, Cha Cha, Twist, Jive, Disco etc. Our warm ups were always ballet-style, lots of plies which made my thigh screamed like mad but am used to it now. We did all kinds of mirroring exercise where we practise emotions, speed, levels etc which made me realised how such simple activity can pull me into a focused zone and to try to understand what the other is thinking, feeling, or trying to tell me.

Putting the pieces together
The favourite part is how MXV empowered us to choreo our own dance moves for 1 same song and helped compiled it to make up a dance for that whole song. It's amazing to see how every single pieces of the jigsaw will in the end fit in nicely to form a nice picture :)

It's the journey that matters
I believe throughout this whole journey one important thing I learned is that everything takes great hard work, laser-like focus, and strong passion to pull you through the journey and grow as you reach destination by destination. Be it in the business world or in the arts world, these same rules apply as it's the core foundation in life if you want to succeed in anything. :)

"One important thing I learned is that everything takes great hard work, laser-like focus, and strong passion to pull you through the journey and grow as you reach destination by destination"

Something New A Week #43 - Happy Birthday, Malaysia!

We normally do not celebrate Merdeka day. But today we did and we dressed up in our national flag's colours - White, Blue, Red, Yellow.

Ironically we went to Departure Lounge, and was looking forward to travel out of Malaysia. LoL.

What's new to me:

3 Things I Walked Away From

I guessed it's always hard to walk away. It's even harder if you were to walk away from your dreams, from the people you love, from hope. There are countless times I walked away from people who needs help just because I'm shy, times I walked away from reaching higher grounds just because I'm afraid of failing, times I walked away from my family just because I want to join my friends; times I walked away from God just to enjoy what the world can offer me. I'm pretty sure I'm not alone. I do not punish myself for all these, in fact I'm grateful that from every walkaways, I learned something, I repented, and I grew wiser from all the timidity I had inside of me.

Now, I know when and when not to walk away. Out of all these walkaways, the best walkaways I did, and am still doing are these:

WALKAWAY #1: Walking away from negativity and towards living life in abundance and joy.
It's OK to feel bad, sorry, guilty etc but it's never OK to dwell in it. Many of us dwell in it for too long and it became a blackhole that pulls us into the darkness of negativity. Those who acknowledged what is wrong and made the decision to move on fast and take the positive outlook always have a step ahead in life. It's always good to mix with people who channels out positive energy, happy emotions, and inspiring moments. There are always givers and receivers.
"I always believe you can only give what you have, just like the one who never had love within will never know how to love."
So if we would like to give more happiness; we have to have happiness within; same goes to optimism, fun, love etc everything! If we don't have it within us then we need to get it from people who have it so we can spread the the joy of living life to the fullest!

WALKAWAY #2: Walking away from my comfort zone and to do the things I really want to do.
Some people used to get comfortable with what they have but still there's like a void inside of them, it's like that's not really what they want. But when they realised that what they want needs some courage, hardwork, and perseverance; they give up.
"My thoughts are, the things you really want to have, things you really want to do - are never ever easy coming your way."
It seemed easy for others but if you hear their stories you'll realise what a long way they've came. I searched 2 years and equipped myself to finally land on my dream short stint at Korea; I got out there to mix with people to finally got an appearance on TV for our Korean stuff; I persevered through since I joined a new startup company to see how it flourish a year more later now and how much have I grown; I always wanted to grow in leadership and management and I took up bigger responsibilities which needs lot of perseverance and wisdom and am still learning. My stories aren't super amazing, but I really know, that what you really really want deep down in your heart - it's never easy to attain - you need to get out of your comfort zone to get hold of it. You'll fail, not just once but more - but if you never fail, you never succeed.

WALKAWAY #3: Walking away from being mindful of the norm's perception of me and towards being myself
Why didn't you take up this course? Why are you behaving like this? Why don't you want something stable? Why you don't want to start work after graduating? Why aren't you finding job now? List goes on and on. Questions that your parents, your friends, your relatives, or even facebook friends will ask you.
"I personally think jobs can wait, youth can never wait, adventures when you are young can never wait."
I'm outspoken, opinionated to certain extend, and I have my own say. I like to spend time alone, I don't mind sitting in a cafe, having a cup of tea and observing people alone. I don't mind I'm single at the age of 26 you can say all you want. I don't get pressured with my friends all getting married. I think it's fine to do hiphop when you are 35. I don't think carry a LV, Coach, Prada, YSL is showing off. Most importantly, I know that this is my life and no one is in control of how I am living it.

Ever since I started walking away, life have been so much more beautiful. There are tough times, but the journey of continuously learning, growing and breaking boundaries is amazing.

Something New A Week #42 - Yike Bike!

What's a Yike Bike? It's the world's first smallest folding electric bike which can travel at 23km/hr! Bro got home a Yike Bike from his boss, they are in the green industry anyway so they have stuffs like this :)
Setting up the Yike Bike, within 15 seconds!

Specs

Trying out..IN THE HOUSE! :p

One day I'll ask bro to allow me to bring it out to open space to practise! It's not easy for a first try, quite wobbly. But I guessed yike bikes are great for the environment, convenient for short distance travelling and economical; or to meet a hot guy across the street!

Read more on yike bikes here!

Something New A Week #41 - Flowers On My Birthday!

It's not a new thing receiving flowers. But it's new that I received when I'm working! I've been working for a year plus and I'm single, so I don't have boyfriends or husbands to send me flowers. Yet this lovely friend of mine surprised me with a pretty bouquet at office. His message was even surprising and I like it when I guessed the sender right, even when he didn't leave a name....Playing mysterious konon.. :D

Thanks pal, you're as sweet as always!

Happy Birthday To Me

What's new to me:
Purple roses. I've received only red, pink and blue roses before. :)

Something New A Week #40 - New Korean Friends + I'm (felt like) On Talkshow!

Meeting new friends is really a pleasure, a joy! I find it interesting, getting to know new people, hearing their stories and sharing mine. Above all, ending up with laughter and smiles :) Previously Jung Won brought his friend to Malaysia and we went out and it was fun, especially at Yoko's where I had my first Salsa dance

Today was somewhat special. Cousin got to know this new Korean friend named Seock Hyun who was sent by Samsung Korea to Malaysia for a year. Guessed what, his job is to do nothing other than understanding the culture and picking up our national language! What an amazing job! I must say he really speaks fluent Bahasa Melayu and I felt challenged!

We helped him on an assignment which was to "Record a video of Malaysians describing Malaysia". It was totally impromptu and I felt like I and my cousin sis were on a talkshow! I guessed, I have that natural ability when it comes to talking, plus there's just so much to talk about our beautiful country (self praise mode on)!

Can't wait for more catch ups again!

What's new to me:
Samsung Korea has awesome programes for employees, way too awesome!

Something New A Week #39 - First Audition Ever

Since young I was always on stage. It's either singing or dancing or story-telling; or choral-speaking. It's funny how the more you grow up, the more you forget to hold to these things that once built up your confidence; that once keep you being creative.

Stepping into university and now working life; I'm very grateful for all the learning and experience I've picked up; and for the so many achievements that I've had. But there's this one small corner in my heart, back in my head still reminding me of how I used to take control of the stage to present a message to the mass.

How amazing God's timing was that my church opened an audition for their Performing Arts program. I decided to try it out and I gave it a shot on that very Sunday afternoon.

It was really fun! I sang in front of Juwita Suwito and Michael; acted in front of them and we all danced to a choreography together. I'm thankful for the comments they gave, and for the simple things I learned in performing arts throughout that session.

Even if I fail, I'm glad I had my first real audition ever :)

Something New A Week #38 - Bloom Women Conference

Bloom. A beautiful word to describe a woman's destiny in life. Her destiny in life is to bloom beautifully like a flower, in everything she does, in the plans that God has for her. So Bloom was the conference name and I must say the conference venue theme is really very "Bloomy"! There are flower decos, pretty photobooth, and a sweet candy bar for sweet dear lovely ladies like us to savour!
Participants

There are few key messages I took away from Bloom :)

Be Fruitful:
Always search for the hero inside yourself - the holy spirit. God says persevere, because you are going to bear many great fruits. Your confidence shall not come from just yourself of your abilities or your skills. Your confidence should come from the Lord, and when this happens - you will be the most confident person than any skillful person. Think like David.

Emotions are your servants, not your master:
Detach from negative emotions and attach to the promise of God. Or for non-Christians I think it's always nature's law to know that we should always deal with negative emotions as soon as possible and always look at the positive outlook in life! There are many things we have to deal within ourselves first, before we question anything.

You always have a choice:
We are all given a choice. We have the choice and we make the choice to progress. After all, Life is all about choices so think through your choices. Never let yourself come to a point where circumstances make the choice for you - the moment when you say you have "no choice".

Since it's a women conference, the men shall serve us :)

Was a great conference to just remind me of important things in life :)

Thoughts I Had #10: Learning VS Doing

From Forbes: "Learning is good, Doing is better."

Good reminder for all of us. We often love to read and learn; but what happens after a good book read was put back onto the shelf?

So put your learning into action. Turn knowledge into wisdom. To do all these, it comes from one person and it's you. It comes from within yourself, it is your choice to make, not anyone else.

I've heard from many people at work, at Facebook, at gatherings, at random chats saying that they need extra learning, training, inspiration, motivation, development, opportunities etc. My first curiosity was always "What did you do for yourself?". I'm curious to know have they ever taken any first step to get to what they need, have they ever tried all means to improve themselves.

What I learn from people, especially those who didn't even hold a degree but are great entrepreneurs is that - If they want something, they tried every way to make things work, to get to where they want. They do not hold anyone accountable for their lives, but themselves.

Something New A Week #37 - Working At Thailand

I always adored people who get to travel around with their work. I thought it was awesome. Not till I did it myself. Yeah it's nice to stay in hotels, eat nice stuff and claim from company. But the challenge that it throws to you is far more tougher than the ones you received back home. It's not a bad thing, but it's just a matter whether you would like to take the next step to a more uncomfortable zone or not. :)

Was up at Thailand for a few days to check out some kinks there. I'm glad I was able to help out, and was able to learn a thing or two.

But I guessed the most important thing that I learned was how important a company culture is in ensuring growth in a company. Your culture can sometimes make or break your company's performance. I saw the differences in Malaysia and Thailand. I'm glad for having an awesome culture back in Malaysia that pushed us forward, crossing boundaries and achieving more.

To infinity and beyond, cheers!

Something New A Week #36 - When your good friends marry to each other :)

How many years have it been?

We were 17.

Time past so fast and it's so heartwarming to see your best friend walking down to aisle, towards the man of her life, who is also your close old friend :)

Something New A Week #35 - In Search Of God's Pond in Laos

A short trip to Laos.

An aim to swim in the Kwang Si waterfall :)

And I did.

Another aim was to take nice pictures of this using a semi-DSLR.

And below is my product which is so amateur. I'm still learning shutter speed

Something New A Week #34 - Jon + Ally

I first met Jon and Ally in a halloween party.

Then I joined Groupon and realised Alison was there!

And then Jon came into Groupon :)

Love this couple so much and so happy for them getting married.

Something New A Week #33 - First Bollywood Party!!!

I always loved Indian traditional clothes.

Bling blings. The revealing of part of your flesh (your tummy wheee)...and that some other styles aren't too tight but comfortable.

It was an amazing company party where rent this space and had indian music all night long!

Dancing to indian music made me sweat more than clubs.

After dancing...so sweaty!

Something New A Week #32 - Penang, after 15 years??

Bro had finally finished his 3 years of studies at USM.

Went up to get him back.

Ended up getting fat with all these foods..

Something New A Week #31 - Fly down to Singapore for Shinhwa's Concert

After 10 years of waiting, I've finally get to meet Shinhwa!

The legend of Kpop - Shinhwa is a group who any Gen-Y Kpop group would love to follow.

They practise their songs, their dances.

What a lovely night!

Below a picture of my 2 favourite members out of the 6 person boy group.

Jun Jin and Eric!

Matured men in their 30s are stunningly attractive.

Something New A Week #30 - Ricardo's visit to Malaysia!

Ricardo is a sweet friend I met in 2009 when we were working on an International conference together. On his way to Hong Kong he's dropping by Malaysia and we met up for a catch up session over some sweet ice cream at a restaurant which I do not remember its name!
