Something New A Week #3: New Discovery At Sitiawan

Was Chinese New Year and decided to go for a drive with my cousin! Thank God Sitiawan is beside the sea and so we went to this new place just to find there was a nice port and also a dive center! :)

While watching sunset at the beach bumped into my cousin's friend who had the vibe of Gu Tin Lok!

Wonderful day. :)

Something New A Week #2: FT Island Concert!

IT WAS AMAZING.

Most amazing part was how hard I fought to get free Rock Zone ticket!

Something New A Week #1: Wedding Food Tasting!

My first new thing for the first week of 2012! :)

I did something new this week!

Have you ever been a Wedding Planner? I've been one for my friend but I didn't get to check out the restaurant. This time round I'm gonna help plan for my cousin's wedding! Since she's at Australia, we'll have to do all the plannings here for her but it was a special feeling!

The hotel for the wedding is Shangri-La hotel and we were invited to taste the food as well as to discuss on the banquet decorations! Oh how I love decorating places!

First time ever I gave feedback/critics on the food to a Hotel Chef! Some food pics:

We were also given different options on how we would want the banquet hall to look like. It's so sweet. In the end we chose Pink and Silver as my cousin is a sweet polite girl. For the first time in my life I didn't know napkins could be folded into so many different shapes and with names like "Rosebud", "Sydney Theater" etc!

For the first time I get to hear stories from the top chefs of Shangri La! The story again reminded me that constant hardwork will bring you far in life. They are Malay but they cook awesome Chinese food as well as International cuisines! One funny thing to share from the Chef: "As a chef, the older you are the higher value you are!" Thanks Chef! Thought it would be great to take picture with them so yes I did it!

3 Big Words for 2012

2009 was "Strong. Courage. Perseverance"

I learned to become bolder.
I made more risky life decisions.
I constantly persevered through whatever tough times I faced due to my risk-taking behaviour.
I'd achieved many significant moments in life because of these 3 words.


2010 & 2011 were "Love. Discipline. Growth"
I put more love in things I do and people I meet.
I aimed to be discipline in what I've set myself out to do.
I aim to see growth in few of my focus areas.
I'd grew in those 2 years and had stories to tell, life has been awesome because of these 3 words.

2012 is "Discipline. Explore. Extraordinary"
I don't think 2011 I have been disciplined enough, so this word remains.
In university I explored a lot of stuff. Now being a YWA, it's time to again explore a lot of different experience and opportunities in life.
Compared to my previous years, I want to explore even more extraordinary stuff and do it!
